Welcome to OpenWater, Max!

Published May 1, 2019 in Leadership

Max joins the OpenWater Head Office as the newest addition to our Lead Generation Team.

Where are you from?

I was born and raised in Arlington, Virginia. I recently made the big move out of my parents basement to an apartment in the Courthouse area which has definitely been an improvement.

Where were you before OpenWater?

I was working as a Business Analyst in Rosslyn dealing with data analytics and software day-to-day operations.  It was a number crunching grind but still gave me many great experiences in the workforce.

What brings you to OpenWater?

I have been involved in the software industry for the past two years but something was still missing. OpenWater provides the sales and business development side that I have always wanted to be a part of. The supportive culture and growth opportunities are a big part of wanting to be a part of the team.

Where did you go to college?

I went to Christopher Newport University (CNU) in Newport News, VA.

In your spare time, what would we find you doing?

You can find me playing ice hockey in the local Ballston adult “beer league” and enjoying some cold ones with my teammates afterwards.  Hockey has been a huge part of my life so you might find me cheering the caps on at a home game as well!

Any fun facts?

I had an awesome internship in Dubai for the Dubai International Finance Centre (DIFC) during my senior year of college.  While I was there I was able to explore the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, and go to a David Guetta concert on New Years Eve with a diverse group of coworkers consisting of Australians, South Africans, Europeans, and Emiratis from Dubai.

Last question. Favorite coffee chain, and go-to order?

Nitro cold brew from Starbucks.

Welcome to the team, Max!
