OpenWater, a market leader in end-to-end awards management software announced today integration with Abila’s industry leading netForum software. netForum, by Abila is a comprehensive software solution that allows associations and nonprofits to advance their mission and goals by enhancing member and donor value, increasing engagement, and improving operations. Integrating the awards, abstract and conference services of OpenWater with the organization’s member/donor engagement and management information through netForum gives executives all the information they need in one place and increases operational efficiency by eliminating redundant systems and data.

“Creating such a deep integration between OpenWater and netFORUM greatly enhances the ability of our customers to access information to better engage constituents and operate more efficiently,” explained Timothy Spell, CEO of OpenWater. “With the Abila integration, our award and abstract management software systems are fully integrated to expand member engagement and give association executives the data they need without having to juggle systems or Excel spreadsheets.”

This partner program reflects a trend in the nonprofit and association sector where organizations are requiring systems to work well together, automate tasks, reduce redundant data and breakdown data siloes to improve engagement and lower operating costs.

Joint customers can now access information with a single sign-on. In addition bi-directional data synchronization between the systems will eliminate the inefficiency and waste of siloed data. At the same time, managers no longer need to worry about Excel imports or data transfers, which tend to introduce errors and uncertainty in the data. Specifically, bi-directional synchronization refers to software integration that works both ways – both to and from the association management software (AMS). Deploying a bi-directional sync, for instance, allows an organization to work with their members’ existing usernames and passwords to log into the new OpenWater awards system. That also means that whenever there is activity in the awards system, it will be instantly recognized by netForum, the Association Management Software (AMS) or Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) system of the nonprofit. Essentially, OpenWater’s awards solution becomes an extension of the netForum – minimizing the learning curve in order to keep the organization running at top efficiency at all times.

Awards, abstracts and conferences represent three core business functions of fundraising for associations and nonprofits. Greater involvement and lower operating costs are absolutely essential for these organizations to remain competitive in the global market. Now, all of these critical workflows have been streamlined by the combination of OpenWater’s management platform with Abila expertise in engaging internal and external audiences for sophisticated, relevant and transparent relationships.
