Feature Spotlight: System Logs
When you can’t confirm if an email was sent, whether a payment went through, or why tools like single sign-on aren’t working, it’s frustrating.
Now, with OpenWater’s system logs, you don’t have to dig. Read on to find out how this new feature simplifies monitoring the following three areas of your organization’s program and marketing efforts:
- Email Activity;
- Single-Sign On; and
- Payment Gateways.
Email Activity
In the past, you could send email blasts, reminder emails, or even password reset emails through OpenWater. However, you didn’t have a way of confirming whether they were received, opened, clicked, or if they bounced. Now, you do.
Email logs allow you to search a particular person’s email activity or generally whether there were any emails in a particular action that bounced, were opened, or clicked. This helps you better manage your email marketing efforts while resolving issues for entrants if necessary.
The best part is you can click on “Details” next to any recipient to view the email that was sent, edit the email if necessary, and resend it as well.
All OpenWater users receive free 7-day system logs of emails. You can also upgrade for 365-day system log records should you deem it necessary.
Single Sign-On Activity
Single sign-on is a third party program that allows users to sign in using existing email or social accounts. Unfortunately, this software doesn’t always work as it should. But, when was the last successful log in? Without going to the vendor, it was impossible to tell.
In OpenWater’s system logs, you can view why single sign-on has failed and address the problem directly with the vendor. In the screenshot below, you can see that if there were a problem with single sign-on, the reason would be displayed in the column labeled “Member Data.”
This information allows you to resolve any issues expediently and without having to wait on a vendor to let you know what the problem is.
Payment Gateway Activity
How many times has an entrant come to you saying their credit card didn’t go through, their refund failed, or they experienced one of countless other issues with the payment gateway? If you’re like most organizations, chances are this happens frequently.
OpenWater’s system logs remove the guesswork as to why a payment or refund failed. In the logs, you can see what information was missing or what other problems arose that caused the failure to ensure it doesn’t happen again.
In this screenshot, you can see in the far right column that it states whether the transaction was a success or failed as well as why it failed.
