Shh… Do You Hear Featureland?

Published May 23, 2018 in Leadership

Journey to Featureland

June is fast approaching… and so are the contours of a new continent we’ve dubbed “Featureland.” The official name is “OpenWater 3”.

OpenWater 3 is the next version of the entire OpenWater Growth Stack platform. That’s the entire platform, from Awards to Grants to Scholarships and all the functionality in between.

“Yes,” you’re saying, “but OpenWater is amazing, just as it is!”

To which we say, “Aw, shucks. Well, there are a few things we’d like to improve…”  (As you know, we value ongoing improvement.)

Our new UX team is working vigorously to review existing usability. They are making recommendations on ways to make OpenWater even more powerful and more intuitive to use.

We’re doing something few software companies do: making the entire platform backwards compatible.

This means:

  • invisible performance enhancements
  • minimal client-facing disruption
  • no forced upgrades

We’ll make more announcements and sneak peeks as we get closer to rolling this out.

Leaders Listen

We’re dedicated to listening and learning from our clients. That’s one reason Rebecca calls each of our clients to gather feedback and discuss needs. We welcome your feature suggestions.

With this in mind we are working on an OpenWater Certification Program. Organizations can send one or more representative for certified training. For some, this will be an efficient way to reduce support hours and access an OpenWater expert in-house.

Details coming in a few weeks.

More Coming in June

June is already filling up. In addition to developing OpenWater 3 and the certification program we will be:

We encourage our American clients to enjoy this coming Memorial Day weekend…it’s going to be a blazing hot summer!
