OpenWater Weekly: Dogs! Dogs! Dogs!

Dogs! Dogs! Dogs!

A new perk this year is #BirthdaysAndDogs Day. #BirthdaysAndDogs happens the last Friday of every month. We order in food for lunch and everyone who has a dog brings a dog. Today’s top dogs were Bosco, Westin, and Nico. Beers commence for the people at 5pm…

Business highlights from Tim and Kunal this week:

  • WIN FOR CLIENTS. Confirmed that client upload speeds will be 20% faster starting in coming weeks. (See the “net neutrality” discussion.)
  • MORE WINS FOR CLIENTS. New features rolled out this week: archiving clients, improvements to excel exports and table fields.
  • DOES IT HURT WHEN I SAY ‘TAXES’? No joke, tax reform will impact every one of our clients. That’s why Tim is attending the brown bag lunch discussion by ASE next Tuesday. ASE will discuss how tax reform is expected to impact associations.
  • BOOM. Dan, our new developer, completed his first single sign-on. Badass.*
  • REDESIGN. The sales team got a glimpse of our new website and platform redesign. Watch for the updates in coming weeks. We’re awaiting a few video edits.

One piping hot Growth Stack, coming up!

It would be a shame if these get out so please don’t discuss this beautiful design with anyone or share on social media…we trust you.

  • CRM. Yep… that’s in the works. We’ve heard you. Our sales team has been discussing this with select clients. Feedback so far is exciting…If you’d like to learn more, reach out.
  • ASKING FOR ADVICE. There’s a fundraising adage: ask for advice and you’ll get money; ask for money and all you’ll get is advice. Frankly: we’ve been getting a lot of offers for money. Not a bad problem to have! However, we plan to vet our potential partners carefully. There’s a lot of interest in the token space. We want to be sure whatever funds, traditionally raised or via STO, are secured from trusted players who share our values.
  • WE’RE HIRING. We’re always accepting applications from smart people who want to join a fast-growing technology company. We are specifically looking to fill the OpenWater Voyager role. This is a 1-year, rotating position that gives you a few weeks experience in every department. At the end of the year you’ll have a holistic view of our company and the role that best suits you. This is an excellent position if you are just starting out or new to SaaS software. We’re filling it because our first hire, David, is moving up! Send your resume and cover letter to info at getopenwater.com.

* Wait, why do I care if a developer did something developer-y? Because that translates into more new features you’ll love to use!
