A Guide to Moving Your Awards Online [Infographic]

Published July 23, 2015 in Leadership

Managing an awards program can be as varied as the awards program itself. There are countless reasons why programs choose to run their awards the way they do. It could be the type or size of the program, budget constraints, or available staff time.

One method that still prevails today is the paper method. With this system entries are received through the mail and sent out again to judges. Entries are stored and recorded in one central location using binders and spreadsheets.

While this way may seem like a standard, reliable way to go, the method is riddled with difficulty. In fact, using a paper-based system has become clunky, out-dated, and insufficient. Instead organizations are looking to new solutions to meet the needs of their program. Solutions like awards software.

But not everyone has hopped on the awards software train. Several programs worry that transferring to a new system will have negative ramifications. As a result, they are electing to do nothing and stick with their current system, even if it doesn’t adequately meet their needs.

We’re here to change that line of thinking! Transitioning your awards from paper to an online system doesn’t have to be scary. The infographic below goes through the steps any program can expect to take when moving to awards software. (Or to learn more about the process in detail, download our guide!)
